Rapid Growth for East Side Startup

Another Buffalo startup company has seen its value skyrocket.  A firm founded by former Sabres owner and Paychex founder Tom Golisano has invested $20 million in Viridi Perente.  The startup, located on East Delavan Avenue, is in the heart of Buffalo's East Side.

The past few months--with the State's development initiative and now Golisano's investment--have brought good news to the East Side, an area of the city that has long been overlooked but finally is getting closer and closer to sustainable growth.

Viridi raised $4 million in its first funding round when it launched in June 2018, valuing the company at $12 million. Now, the second round pushed Viridi's total valuation up to $80 million after just 18 months.
