New York Farm Show seminar to discuss renewable energy leasing & landowner rights & responsibilities

Feb. 28 — 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

As part of this year's New York State Farm Show (running from February 27-29 at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, NY), David Colligan, attorney with Colligan Law LLP will discuss  “Rights and Responsibilities of Landowners”. Owning land brings certain legal responsibilities and possible liabilities. Learn what you need to know about maintaining boundaries, trespass, easements, zoning, renewable energy leasing, succession planning, etc.

Colligan Law will also have a table at the Expo building during all three days of the Farm Show.

The New York Farm Show is the leading farm show in the Northeast since 1985. The show hosts more than 400 exhibitors displaying the latest in farm equipment, tractors, combines and farm implements; seed and crop protection products; farm supplies and services, dairy and beef production, woodlot and related industry supplies.

February 27, 28 and 29, 2020. 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Admission: 

$5 at the door. Under 18 are free.

Parking

: Free parking and shuttle buses run all day to all six of the farm show buildings.

Seminars will be held each day of the New York Farm Show in the Somerset Room of the Arts and Home Center. The New York Forest Owners Association has a big schedule of programming at this year’s New York Farm Show to help landowners get more benefits from their woodlots.
